Grades 4 – 6  (8–12 year olds)

Athletes in Grade 4 – 6 move into the Canada Sport for Life LEARN TO TRAIN stage understanding the rules, tactics, and decision making in their chosen sport

  • Classes are 1 hour in length once a week

  • Coaches focus on guiding the development of coordination and fine motor control

  • More emphasis on formalized training methods with a balance of free play for exploration

  • Conversion of fundamental movement skills into fundamental sport skills
